For Many People, iGulu Begins with Home Brewing Beer
That was also the case for Bojan.
A little over a year ago, Bojan supported iGulu as an early Kickstarter backer and purchased his first F1. At the time, what caught his attention was simple: he wanted a cleaner, easier, less tedious way to make beer at home.
He had seen traditional homebrewing setups online. Large equipment, complicated steps, pots, pans, garage space, and a process that looked more cumbersome than enjoyable. He liked the idea of brewing, but not the mess or the heavy workload that often came with it.
Then he found iGulu.
“I was very intrigued about the idea of an easy, mess-less, less tedious way of making beer at home.”
His first experience with iGulu showed him that homebrewing could feel different. It could be simple, compact, and enjoyable inside the home. It could be something made for daily life, not just for people with a full garage brewing setup.
But Bojan’s iGulu journey did not stop with beer.
From Early Backer to Long-Term Supporter
After trying iGulu’s beer kits, Bojan quickly saw the potential of the system. It was not only about making beer at home. It was about quality, freshness, and the satisfaction of crafting something yourself without turning the process into a chore.
“From the first time in enjoying their beers, I saw the great potential that this way of crafting beer provided.”
What made him continue supporting iGulu was not only the machine itself, but the feeling that iGulu kept growing. New products, new flavors, and new possibilities kept being added.
He later continued his iGulu journey with the S1 and the subscription plan, because he saw iGulu as more than a one-time purchase. For Bojan, it became a way to keep exploring different drinks at home.
“If I can say why I ultimately chose iGulu as my go-to home craft beer maker, it’s because of the value and quality in what they provided.”
That trust became even more meaningful when his life changed.
When Beer Was No Longer an Option
Recently, Bojan was diagnosed with celiac disease. That meant he could no longer drink traditional beers that contain gluten.
For someone who had enjoyed iGulu’s beer kits and the homebrewing experience, this could have been the end of the journey.
But instead, it became a turning point.
Because by then, iGulu had grown beyond beer.
Cider, white wine, kefir, kombucha, and more options gave him a way to continue enjoying the creativity and pleasure of making craft drinks at home.
“My diagnosis could have stopped me, but thanks to the ingenuity of iGulu, it didn’t, and I’m enjoying just as always.”
At first, Bojan saw iGulu mainly as a beer crafter. But after discovering more drink options, the machine became something more versatile and personal.
It was no longer only about beer. It became about having choices.
More Than a Beer Machine
One message Bojan hopes more people understand is that iGulu is not only a beer machine.
“It’s not a beer machine only. They have many other offerings that are just as great to enjoy.”
That idea has become central to how he shares iGulu with others. When friends visit his home, he shows them the machine, lets them taste what he has made, and explains the benefits from his own experience: quality, ease of use, convenience, and the wide variety of drinks.
His enthusiasm has already introduced two more people to iGulu. One of them is even a German Bavarian beer lover, someone who knows beer well and now has an iGulu at home too.
But what makes Bojan smile is not only the beer.
It is knowing that his friends may soon discover the white wine as well.
“I’m smiling now because I know how good the white wine is too, and how they are going to get a kick out of it when they try it.”
A White Wine Surprise for His Parents
One of Bojan’s favorite iGulu moments happened when he shared the white wine with his parents.
His parents had tried many expensive wines and champagnes over the years, so he was curious to hear what they would think. When he brought them iGulu white wine, he did not tell them it was made in his machine.
He simply let them taste it.
To his surprise and happiness, they enjoyed it.
“When they tried it, I didn’t tell them that I made it in my machine. In listening to their appreciation of the wine, it made me very happy.”
That moment stayed with Bojan. It eventually encouraged him to expand his setup at home so that sharing drinks with family and friends became even easier.
It is not only about making something. It is about sharing something you made and seeing people enjoy it.
Two Machines, More Possibilities
Today, Bojan uses multiple iGulu machines at home. For him, the benefit is simple: more freedom.
With more than one machine, he can prepare different drinks at the same time. He can have white wine and kombucha available whenever he wants. If he knows friends are coming over, he times his brews so there are different options ready for the occasion.
He also enjoys cooking for friends, including gluten-free pizza. Having home-crafted drinks ready makes those moments feel even more complete.
“The beer or wine option is perfect for them as a pairing for the pizza. This gives me the pleasure of entertaining my friends and also being able to craft at home instead of catering or going out.”

Bojan now has two iGulu machines at home, and he also brought one for his father so they can both enjoy brewing and sharing craft drinks together.
The subscription plan also fits naturally into this lifestyle. It gives him the chance to keep trying new kits, keep more brews going, and enjoy the convenience of having new options come in regularly.
A Taste of Memory: Mead in Montenegro
Among all the craft drink memories Bojan has collected over the years, one has stayed with him for decades.
In 1985, while hiking around Eastern Europe, his tour guide brought him to a small village at the foot of Lovćen Mountain in Montenegro. There, Bojan tried mead, known locally as Medovina, for the first time.
“It was the color of the golden sun and tasted so sweet.”
That story says a lot about how he sees craft beverages. A good drink is not only about flavor. It can carry a memory, a place, and a feeling from another time.
Keeping the Joy of Crafting Alive
Bojan’s story reminds us that iGulu is not only about beer.
It is about the joy of making something yourself. It is about having choices. It is about sharing drinks with friends, surprising your parents with homemade white wine, and continuing to explore even when life changes.
For Bojan, iGulu started as a simpler way to make beer at home.
Now, it has become a way to keep crafting beyond beer.
“Keep on doing the great work you’re doing with coming out with different flavors, and you’ll have a lot of happy people for life.”
From beer to cider, from white wine to kombucha, from family tastings to future mead memories, Bojan’s journey shows what iGulu can truly be:
A home craft beverage system for more people, more tastes, and more moments worth sharing.
