Hi I look at the price of the kits , I put currency for australia in , and it says $17.99 , is that US dollars or australian dollars because if its US dollars that means it is roughly double or $32 australian per kit for 13 glasses of beer

That's about right. This isn't cheap beer. Home brew is WAY cheaper and store bought is even cheaper.
