Just finished my first 2 brews with the S1. An English Porter and an Amber Ale.
While both test quite nice, it is dispensing with Air Mode (since we have not received the CO2 accessories), and the beer comes out quite flat. VERY little carbonation. Is there a way of increasing the pressure, or is Air Mode a bust?
Also the app does a very poor job of giving information when 2 igulus are added to it. It doesn't refresh data and gives completely incorrect data (ex: what type of beer is being brewed), when you attempt to look at each device.
Thanks
@Bacardio
Before receiving the CO2 adapter, you can only use the air pump mode for dispensing beer. If you want to enhance the carbonation of your beer, you can use the custom recipe function in Master Mode.
For example, when you scan the RFID card of an English Porter ingredient pack, the machine screen will display the brewing process as:
"20°C 10 days 22psi → 3°C 1 day 22psi → 3°C 4 days 6psi."
When creating a custom process via the app, keep the fermentation time and temperature unchanged, but modify the final fermentation pressure to 22psi. This will help retain as much CO2 in the beer as possible.
Regarding app and machine status synchronization, please check whether both your S1 machine firmware and app are updated to the latest version.
@Freddie so there is no way to do this post brewing? Meaning the 2 batches that are done brewing are wasted, with the S1 current setup and process of using Air Mode?
