So when I had a PicoBrew, there were two steps: brew the grains to produce the wort, and then ferment the wort. From what I understand extracts can be brewed instead of the grains.
Does this device utilize pressure to actually brew beer so I could utilize say one of these: https://www.northernbrewer.com/products/irish-red-ale-extract-kit-w-specialty-grains
Or does it require pre-made wort?
Hi Austin,
Once your F1 or S1 machine is upgraded to Master Mode, you gain access to custom fermentation recipes. Through the "Recipe" feature in the app and the "Craft" function on the machine screen, you can set different fermentation temperatures and fermentation times. Additionally, the S1 machine allows you to adjust the fermentation pressure range from 2 to 22 psi, enabling you to create your own fermentation recipes.
iGulu's fermentation keg supports the use of Dry Malt Extract (DME), Liquid Malt Extract (LME), and wort (including those produced by other homebrewing equipment such as PicoBrew) for fermentation.
