@Bernd The igulu only support 2.4Ghz wifi. That might be the problem you have?

@Shu No worries. And as mentioned I dont see the mqtt data as a privacy issue, since there is no sensitive data beeing shared. My only consern is that one might send commands to other peoples mac...
After puring oxygen from new keg, why don't keep the full keg in the machine on cooling/co2 mode? Then it will automatic add pressure while transfering? Maybe to much and waste co2?
@Bernd I rebooted my wifi router, and the igulu never reconnected. All other devices did. It's currently in fermenting so I have not tried to reboot, I am sure it will automatically come back then...
Thank you, very helpfull. I can see that the process has room for improvement from the igulu side.
So to save on oversea shipping I bought a big box of kits that arrived today, only to find that half of the kits has a best before date in 10 days. Hopefully the yeast has a longer expire date. Bu...
I stand corrected. I guess you shall not belive everything on the internet then :)
The iGulu does not heat, it only cools. So maybe you the machine in a warmer room?
I made this for fun https://brewmonitor.info/brew.php It was a 10 minutes effort so there is a lot to be desired :)It will only work if your device is currently in fermenting mode, only shows tempe...
Yeah just blured the column with the mac address. Not that I see it as personal info ,but some might.
So this was interresing. Since iGulu does not use authentication on their mqtt messages, anyone can see every machines data. Thats "fun", i love the cloud... A small collection.
Mine failed on first two attempts, but succeeded on the last. Without me doing anything else then restarting.
So I might want to bring the brew and machine to a happening, and I bought another keg for this. Can anyone tell me best way to transfer from one keg to another? Close the pinch valve, remove the...
Depends on what people need, and keep in mind I do have a working system myself :) It's not much data available from the igulu, but I find it fun to plot the progress in a graph. There is several...
I have had a few messages on this. The problem is that my solution requires above average network knowledge and equitment. So I am considering making a raspberry pi software for this to help othe...
@Halaster I have not completed my first brew yet, but I seem to have heard somewhere that having the pinch valve not fully open helps with foam during dispensing?
@Halaster I suspect that iGulu don't like it if I go to deep into the details. But the machine pushes MQTT data to the cloud. So what I did was redirect that data in my firewall to my local mqtt s...
@Mark Let us know how it turns out, I'm interrested in doing this myself.
Since nobody who knows what they are talking about answered, I am a total newbie, but I would think all brews would hit the release valve's set point of around 24 psi while fermenting. But will tak...
I am a strictly no-cloud kind of person, but I still like to collect my data. Long story short, my iGulu now sends it's live data to my home server, and I can follow the progress in fancy graphs: ...
