Just taken my F1 out of its box, connected it to the app and initiated an update (which failed). At that point the ambient light on front of the machine has gone red and the app says "malfunction". Have tried resetting machine , powering off, reinstalling app - but it doesn't want to do anything.
Anyone else experienced this? The manual doesn't even mention an ambient red light.

My update reported unsuccessful, but it actually succeeded. When I checked the version if was the newest release. That was updating from the box to version 2.5. This most recent update I did a few days ago updated fine without an error.
Note that I updated the unit on the machine itself. The app update feature is 100% broken, and does not even start the update.
Have not seen the red light like yours.
After some back and forth, iGulu concluded the unit couldn't be saved, and sent me a new one. All good so far with my replacement unit.
